So... we booked through alnwickcastle.com and it was all straightforward, no real hassle with the tickets or anything like that. The live demos were definitely the highlight for us, especially the sword fighting one, which was really fun without feeling too over the top.

The only thing I’d say is the timings could be a bit clearer on the website, as we almost missed one of the demonstrations. Other than that, it was a really nice day out and we’d happily recommend it.

I went to Alnwick Castle last weekend and, i was impressed with how clean the place was. The toilets were tidy, the paths were nice and clear, and the grounds just looked really well cared for without seeming overly perfect or, you know, fake. Even the busier spots didn’t feel messy or neglected. You can really tell the staff stay on top of everything, and it just made the whole visit feel a lot more enjoyable.

The castle itself was really nice to visit and definitely worth seeing. That said, the toilets and food options felt limited for the number of people there, which made the day a bit less comfortable than it could’ve been. Parking was okay, but the signs could be clearer too. Overall, it was a good day out, just with a few preventable issues that could be improved.

I checked alnwickcastle.com before we went because I knew the opening times can change depending on the season, though I can’t remember exactly where I first saw that mentioned. Either way, the dates and times were really easy to spot, which helped us avoid showing up at the wrong time.

I appreciated that it wasn’t buried somewhere confusing on the site. It just made planning the day out feel a lot less stressful, especially since we were trying to fit it around other plans too. 5 stars from me

Parking was straightforward, and the walk to the castle wasn’t far at all. Getting around was actually easier than I’d expected, and the staff seemed to know what they were doing and helped us out when we needed it. Overall, it was a smooth experience.

We did the flying lesson it was such a fun experience. The kids haven’t stopped talking about it since, which makes me think they knew exactly what they were doing by making it feel so exciting, now everyone wants to go back again. Definitely a memorable day out

I had a good time visiting the castle overall. The building itself is lovely and there are definitely some interesting things to look at. The only thing is that the exhibits felt a bit mixed to me — some sections had really good information, while others seemed kind of random or a little light. But maybe that’s just me being picky, because I still enjoyed walking around and I’m glad I went. For the price, I was just expecting the curation to feel a bit more connected.

The place was nice, and I can see it being a great time on a clear day. Not saying it’s a scam, but if it rains, a lot of the outdoor stuff gets harder to enjoy, so definitely check the forecast before you go.

Our guide was hilarious and knew so much — like, one minute we were laughing, then suddenly I was learning some random cool fact I didn’t expect. Really enjoyed the whole thing...

The staff were friendly overall, but a few of them seemed like they were in a bit of a hurry, if that makes sense. Still a decent experience, just felt a little rushed at times.

Popped into this lovely little gift shop and had a really nice browse. The staff were friendly, and I found a cute castle mug for my mum, which she’ll love. It’s not a huge place — though actually that kind of adds to the charm, and the prices felt fair too.

We popped into the cafe during our visit and, i wasn’t expecting much, but the food was really nice. The sandwiches tasted fresh, the cake was lovely, and the coffee was decent too, which is always a bonus because bad coffee can ruin my mood a bit. I think I was still thinking about one of the rooms in the castle while eating, so maybe that helped the whole atmosphere as well. It wasn’t exactly cheap, but for a cafe at a castle it felt fair. The staff were friendly and everything came out quickly enough, so no complaints from me.

This was one of those no-brainer buys for me. I figured if the kids were excited and it kept them happy, then it was worth it, and that’s exactly what happened. They loved it, so in my book, money well spent

We had a lovely family day at Alnwick Castle. The kids were really into the broomstick training and enjoyed wandering around the grounds too. A few areas were a bit busy, and the food wasn’t exactly cheap, but that’s not too surprising for a place like this. The staff were friendly and there was plenty to keep everyone entertained for a few hours. We’d definitely go again, maybe just on a quieter day next time.

The event just felt unorganized, like there was something about it that never really came together. The queues were messy, and the special event started late, so the kids got bored quickly...

That said, it did feel quite expensive, especially once you add in food and any extras. Some areas got really busy too, which made it feel a bit crowded at times. I’m glad we went, but actually, I’m not sure I’d be in a rush to go back soon

I had such a good time at Alnwick Castle. If you’re into history, or even just a bit curious, it’s one of those places where you start looking at the rooms and the walls and suddenly you’re imagining all the people who must have been there centuries ago. The old stories really stuck with me, and the staff were helpful too, not in an over-the-top way, just there when you needed them. I only meant to stay for a quick visit, but then I kept wandering into another room, and another bit of the grounds, and before I knew it I’d been there way longer than planned. I’d definitely go back.

The signs were really clear, so we had no trouble finding our way around. We didn’t get lost once, which made the whole visit feel so much easier.

The grounds were really lovely to walk around, especially in the late afternoon when the light was softer. I remember there were a few birds hopping around near the path, which was kind of nice. The views were good too, but not amazing or anything I’d go out of my way for. Other than that, there just wasn’t a whole lot that stood out to me.
